Privacy Policy

MyBankFinder helps you find the best savings rates, CDs, money market accounts, and bank bonuses. The app has no account and no sign-in — almost everything you enter stays on your device. This policy explains the small amount of information that does leave your device, why, and how to remove it.
1. Information stored only on your device
The following never leaves your iPhone and is deleted when you delete the app:
- Your display name and appearance preference (dark mode)
- Your saved state(s), used to filter offers to ones you're eligible for
- Product interests, preferred deposit amount, and preferred CD terms
- Your watchlist and alert preferences
- Cash Score details — savings and checking balances, your current APY, and banks you already use
2. Information that leaves your device
Email address (optional). If you choose to receive the weekly rate digest, we store your email address on our servers and use it only to send that digest. Emails are delivered through our email service provider. Every digest includes a one-tap unsubscribe link, which removes your address from our list.
Push notification token (optional). If you enable rate alerts, Apple provides an anonymous device token that we store so we can deliver alerts about rate changes and expiring offers. The token contains no personal information and is removed when you turn alerts off.
AI Advisor requests. When you ask the AI Advisor for a recommendation, we send your typed goal along with your product interests, typical deposit amount, and saved state(s) to our AI service provider, solely to generate your recommendation. Your Cash Score balances and email address are not included. Advisor requests are not used for advertising and are not linked to an identity — the app has no accounts.
3. What we don't do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information
- We do not track you across other apps or websites
- We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs
- We do not collect your location — you tell us your state manually
- We do not connect to your bank accounts or ask for credentials
4. Rate data and sponsored placements
Rates, bonuses, and product terms shown in the app are gathered from publicly available sources and refreshed regularly. Some placements in the app are sponsored by partner banks and are always labeled as such (for example, "Sponsored" or "Featured Partner"). Sponsors do not receive any information about you. Rate information is provided for research purposes — always confirm current terms directly with the financial institution before opening an account.
5. Data retention and deletion
- On-device data — deleted immediately when you delete the app
- Email address — removed when you tap unsubscribe in any digest, or on request via our contact page
- Push token — removed when you disable rate alerts in the app, or on request
You can request deletion of any information we hold at any time through our contact page, and we will honor it promptly. Because we don't sell or share personal information, no opt-out is needed under U.S. state privacy laws such as the CCPA.
6. Security
All communication between the app and our servers uses encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. The small amount of server-side data we keep (email addresses and push tokens) is stored with access controls and is never combined into user profiles.
7. Children
MyBankFinder is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles your information, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be highlighted in the app.
